My Favorite Things From The Week

This recipe. So so good.

This Julian Smith video.

Rachael saying to me: "Mom! Do you know what about you? You're so beautiful."

Doctors. In the last week I've had a pap smear, a mammogram (My first! SO not a big deal. It took about five minutes and I would describe it as only mildly uncomfortable.), an exam from an orthopod for my shoulder, and today I made an appointment with a dermatologist for next week. (I'm making up for lost time. Big time.)

"Finding" my debit card at the bank after searching the house inside and out for days. (Why didn't they call me? Hello??)

Hymn arrangements by this guy. We did an all music meeting in church last week led by our uber talented choir director (also the music/choreography director for Sundance's summer theater production of "Sound of Music" last summer) and she used two of his arrangements. As the accompanist, I loved it!

NBC's "The Sing-Off." We are not a big TV watching family, but when I heard BYU's Vocal Point was competing on this show (the same guys who performed at our hospital Christmas party last year and blew everyone away) we started watching it. It started out with 16 groups, and Vocal Point made it to the Top 5 before getting the boot last Monday. Too bad! I'm betting Pentatonix wins the whole thing.

Eye brow waxing and tinting:

(If that's not convincing, I don't know what is.)

  1. Thanks for sharing the link for the music. I'm always on the lookout for good hymn arrangements.

Question: Who did you see for your shoulder? I really need to get in to see someone for mine.

And last, but not least, your eyebrows look fantastic!

  2. Eyebrows--awesome. Maybe I should check into that tinting thing? Love Vocal Point and yes, We are thinking Pentatonix for the win. Had to be one of the two.

  3. My experience with a mammogram was different. Let's just say the only way I'll ever do that again is if someone drugs me first.

    lovely eyebrows!
